The basic auto extrication training provides participants with essential knowledge and hands-on skills required to safely and effectively extricate individuals from vehicles involved in motor vehicle accidents. The training covers topics such as vehicle stabilization, patient assessment, extrication tools and techniques, and vehicle anatomy. Participants learn about the importance of scene safety, securing vehicle hazards, and utilizing extrication equipment including hydraulic cutters and spreaders. Additionally, the training emphasizes teamwork, communication, and rapid but safe extrication procedures to minimize the time it takes to free trapped individuals. The goal is to ensure that participants are well-prepared to respond to vehicle entrapment incidents and perform extrications in a manner that prioritizes patient care and rescuer safety
The advanced auto extrication training is designed to build upon the foundational skills and knowledge acquired in basic auto extrication training. Participants will further develop their expertise in complex vehicle extrication scenarios, including challenging vehicle entrapments such as heavily damaged vehicles, entangled machinery, or multi-vehicle collisions. The training includes advanced techniques for vehicle stabilization, alternative extrication methods, and the use of specialized cutting and lifting equipment. Additionally, participants will focus on patient care considerations, medical interventions during extrication, and coordination with emergency medical services. The goal is to enhance participants' proficiency in handling intricate auto extrication situations, ensuring they are prepared to manage challenging scenarios with a high degree of skill, safety, and efficiency
The vehicle stabilization training focuses on equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively secure vehicles in various emergency scenarios, such as motor vehicle accidents and extrication incidents. The training covers principles of vehicle stability, assessment of unstable vehicles, and the selection and application of stabilization equipment such as struts, chocks, and wedges. Participants will learn about techniques for preventing vehicle movement, creating safe working spaces, and mitigating potential hazards associated with unstable vehicles. Additionally, the training emphasizes teamwork, communication, and situational awareness to ensure the safety of both responders and victims during stabilization operations. The goal is to enable participants to competently and safely stabilize vehicles, thereby creating a secure environment for extrication procedures and other emergency response actions
