The Engine Company Operations training will cover a range of essential topics including fireground responsibilities such as hose line advancement, fire attack strategies, and water supply management. The training will also include equipment familiarization, fireground communications, and scenario exercises to provide hands-on experience. The goal is to ensure that all participants are well-prepared to handle the responsibilities of an engine company efficiently and effectively

Basic Truck Company Operations

The Truck Company Operations training will cover a variety of critical topics, including ventilation techniques, forcible entry methods, search and rescue procedures, and ladder operations. The training will also encompass equipment familiarization, aerial ladder operations, and practical exercises to ensure that all participants are well-versed in the responsibilities of a truck company. The goal is to prepare all personnel to execute truck company operations with proficiency and expertise.

This class is offered as a 2 night program which includes 1 lecture night and 1 hands-on night or we can deliver the lecture or hands-on nights individually.

Engine and Truck Roll in Drills

The Firefighter Roll-In Training is designed to enhance firefighters’ skills in deploying and managing hose lines, ladder deployment, building search, and ventilation during initial firefighting operations. This training focuses on efficient hose deployment, advancing hose lines through obstacles, and practicing nozzle techniques by first arriving Engine Co while the first arriving Truck Co. is deploying ladders to the building, searching for victims, and practicing ventilation techniques. By simulating realistic fireground scenarios, firefighters can improve their readiness and effectiveness in real-life situations. Regular practice of these skills ensures that firefighters are well-prepared to handle the challenges of fire suppression and rescue operations.

Truck Company- Ventilation

The Truck Company Ventilation Training will focus on teaching personnel the principles and techniques of vertical and horizontal ventilation, including the use of various equipment such as saws and power tools. The training will cover the importance of ventilation in firefighting operations, as well as safe and effective practices for executing ventilation in different scenarios. Practical exercises and simulations will be conducted to ensure that all participants are well-prepared to perform ventilation operations efficiently and safely.

Residential Search Operations

This comprehensive training program prepares firefighters to perform fast, effective, and scientifically informed searches in residential structures. Built on data from more than 4,000 real rescue incidents and supported by modern fire dynamics research, this course teaches responders how to identify high-probability victim locations, evaluate survivability, and make tactical decisions that balance risk and reward. Firefighters learn the critical role of door control, ventilation coordination, and smoke interpretation to preserve survivable space and increase rescue success rates. Through scenario-based discussions and proven search methods, such as split searches and targeted entry strategies, students develop the skills needed to conduct aggressive, efficient, and safe search operations rooted in real-world evidence.

Rescue Skills "Why We Are There"

When lives hang in the balance, building search and victim removal is the ultimate priority. Our "Rescue Skills" program equips you with the skills, strategy, and confidence to locate and rescue victims in high-risk environments.  Master proven search patterns for speed and efficiency
Prioritize victim rescue with advanced extrication techniques  Led by skilled instructors, this hands-on training ensures firefighters can make life-saving decisions under extreme pressure.

Skills Night

On a typical fire department skills training night, members gather to sharpen their readiness through a series of hands-on drills chosen by the chief or designated officer. The evening may include ladder operations, hose advancement, search and rescue scenarios, forcible entry practice, or pump operations, depending on the department’s current priorities. Crews rotate through stations to ensure everyone gets exposure to both individual and team-based skills, while instructors observe and provide constructive feedback. The training is designed to simulate real-world conditions, reinforcing communication, safety, and efficiency, so that firefighters remain confident and capable when responding to emergencies.

RIC Skills
